David Howel is a qualified town planner and urban designer, with over 15 years experience in consultancy and private residential development, including at senior management and director level.  Working with Clarendon Planning & Development Ltd now provides an integrated planning, design and development service with access to landscape, transport and other specialised consultancy services.  A collaborative working relationship with John Gilbert Architects, also allows for tailored approaches to bespoke individual or community-group led housing projects including self-build.

 

David has a combination of planning, development and urban design knowledge and skills with on-going research interests in housing design and delivery approaches.  Expertise includes urban design and planning appraisal, design briefs/frameworks, development strategy, Development Plan promotion including housing land supply analysis, applications, appeals, estate options appraisals, development land identification, land negotiation and acquisition, financial appraisal, project design team management and co-ordination and legal negotiation.
